SO little time....

Well, Dallas is over and in the history books! It was an amazing show, as always! The best for A Joyful Soul Fabrics since our grand opening! It's one of my fave's and takes roughly six months of preparation but is worth every bead of sweat. Life since Dallas has been a little relaxation, a lot catching up and has left me realizing that I need HELP! How some people do this by themselves is beyond me. Yes, I have a lot of help from the hubby but the Navy still owns him so he helps where and when he can. You would think I wouldn't have any complaints about being successful and busy but geesh. A breath here and there would be nice. Lately, I live on caffeine and my XM AltRock station. Keeps me going.

Looks like I've picked up a few more followers so WELCOME!!! Thanks for the follow and I hope I don't bore you to death with my ramblings!

So, here's what's up with me:

A few pic's from Dallas:

I was so proud of our booth. As usual, the hubby and I make a great team! My friend Lori came out to help in the booth on Friday and Saturday and boy did we need her! Kay Whitt was gracious enough to hang in our booth on Friday afternoon and do a book signing with her Sew Serendipity and Media Frenzy Pattern books. Two awesome must-haves for your pattern library! Our next show is Brownwood which is a smaller show and I am down-sizing to a single since I'll be by myself on this one. If you're near Brownwood, Texas, make the drive to the Coliseum on April 30 or May 1. You won't be disappointed. It's a small show but the talent in this small community is stellar and they are doing a cool new "Show Hop" thing where you get a passport and it gets stamped at each booth you visit. Make a purchase and get another stamp. You'll be entered to win some really cool prizes. It's a pretty neat idea! I love out-of-the-box thinking! Speaking of:

I've been looking for something fun to do on the website. We've decided to start a couple monthly clubs. We're still working through the details but we'll launch May 1 and start filling spaces April 1-30. First is our Fat Quarter Club. For a $10 buy-in and $30 per month (plus shipping), you'll get a space in our FQ club and for 6 months, you'll get a new set of a dozen FQ's handpicked by ME!! (So you know they'll be some seriously cool fabric collections!) The $10 buy-in guarantees you the monthly collection at $30 (plus shipping) and also provides a gorgeous book (retail cost of the book is $15.00 so this is an awesome deal!) of 5 different quilt projects using fat quarters. The book we will use is by Anka's Treasures. I love these books! The instructions give you options for different size quilts and gives you all the fabric requirements and cutting instructions you need for each size. Our second club is our Strip Club. Oh my, I heard all of the gasps from here! Yes, this is your 2.5" strip rolls or jelly rolls. So, it works the same as our FQ club but you'll get a roll of 40 2.5" strips each month. Price is the same, $10 buy-in and $30 per month plus shipping. It's a different book utilizing 2.5" strips for each of the 5 different projects. Sign up for one or BOTH! We only have 25 spots available for each club (I've already booked two spots for the FQ club so only 23 left there.)

This will be fun! What better way to encourage creativity than to have an automatic shipment of delicious fabric arrive every month!? I just can't think of anything better!

I've ordered enough fabric to have a nice selection of yardage left so if you need a little extra to complete your project, you can place an order on the website and we'll get you everything you need. IF we have rolls and fat quarters left after club members fabric ships, we'll put it on the website for sale at the beginning of the next month. Club members get first dibs! (Benefits of being a club member!)

Thanks for spending some time with me today! Remember, we're on Facebook so check us out over there. I'm constantly posting pictures of new stuff and projects I'm working on. Share what you're working on too!
