Okay, so it's not finished but I'm in need of some serious inspiration on this one. I knew I wanted a blouse out of the Wash Day Ticking fabric so I made my own pattern with Raglan sleeves and a nice open neckline. It started looking like a hospital gown to me so I quit. I'm waiting for my next surge of creative mojo to figure out how to finish it up without looking like I'm waiting for the lactation consultant! (It just looks maternity to me right now.)
There's no way I could forget my Henrietta Turtle Pincushion (pattern by Heather Bailey). Isn't she the cutest! I used Heather's line of wool felt to make her corsage. Such a fun project! I'm stocked back up on this pattern since we sold out in Dallas.
Now, I am not the only out there loving this fabric! I don't have a whole lot of time to scour the internet reading blogs but I have a couple faves and I want to introduce you to one today!
Words to live by, right! It's also the name of one of my most favorite blogs on the net! If you don't subscribe, you should! Look at these adorable fabric flowers she came up with using the Nicey Jane fabrics!

Adorable! My whole house is going to be covered in them! Think about it! Refrigerator magnets, throw pillows, package embellishments...the possibilities are endless! The greatest thing is, I have two 20 gallon tubs full of strips (don't ask!) that I can make these cute little blooms from! Check out this easy tutorial and while you're at it, check out the Wonky Pink Patchwork Pillow! I love projects that utilize scraps! I am in a "NO WASTE ZONE"!!
